The 2008 Weed Science contest will be hosted by Alvey Ag. Research, Carlyle, IL. The contest dates are August 13 and 14 . Registration will take place at the contest site on August 13, beginning at 4:30 pm. A cookout will be held later that day at 5:30 pm for everyone participating.
There is a $30 per contestant entry fee. All checks should be made out to Alvey Agricultural Research and mail to 19300 Marydale Rd. Carlyle, IL 62231 by June 10, 2008.
Hotel accommodations can be made at the Microtel Inn (618-594-7666) and Super 8 (618-594-8888) in Carlyle, IL, be sure to mention Alvey Labs to receive group rate. Reservations must be made by July 15 to guarantee room availability.
